Digging deep, our garden blooms into being

by Rachel Prince

Never underestimate the power of collaboration and the generosity of people.  Over the last months the plot of land that we earmarked for our garden over the winter has been molded into a bountiful food garden.

Over a series of workdays and with dozens of generous volunteers from both the local community in Tladi and greater Johannesburg we cleared the land, added rich composts, planted seeds and seedlings, and faithfully watered and worried it all until nature chipped in with heavy spring rains.
